Some of our recent clients and projects
Redevelopment in Lancaster – Rockspring Group
In 2011 ROI Team worked for Rockspring Group in Lancaster to assess the ‘hopes and fears’ of owners and managers of public-facing businesses in the town, especially retailers and licensees, in the light of the planned redevelopment of the St Nicholas Centre and the imminence of a very large edge-of-town planning application.
Aspirations for the renovation of the Borough Market Area, London SE1
ROI Team was appointed by place-making specialists The Means on behalf of a group of stakeholders and investors working to upgrade the area, whilst preserving it’s unique mix and of Borough Market., London Bridge Station, and Guy’s Hospital. We carried out a street survey of visitors probing for people’s opinions of the area, what brings them there, where they spend time and money, and new features they would like to find in the area.
Impact of London 2012 on business in London SE1 – Better Bankside BID
ROI Team worked for Better Bankside BID to assess the benefits felt by Bankside’s businesses – small and large, and from different sectors – before and during the London 2012 Olympics. Our work included a Business to Business survey conducted by phone, online, and face to face, plus Depth Interviews with key local opinion leaders.
Love Your Local Market – impact on markets and town centres of a national markets promotion – Nabma (National Association of British Market Authorities)
ROI Team won a tender for this evaluation commissioned by the National Association of British Market Authorities (Nabma) on behalf of the DCLG. Our task essentially is to assess the impact of Love Your Local Market against various aspirations declared by the Portas Review relating to the ability of markets to revitalise town centres and build a nursery for new retail talent.
Our work has included face to face surveys of shoppers and other local stakeholders, counting of footfall in participating markets, and Depth Interviews and online surveys with market managers.
We have evaluated this event for the last 2 years now and have recently been re-appointed for 2014.
Peckham Town Centre – Peckham Town Team
We recently worked for Peckham Town Team to build understanding of the people currently visiting Peckham Town Centre: their profile, visiting and spending habits, views of the town centre, and their wish list for enhancements. Our work identified a gulf between the financially stretched visitors to the town centre, and the wealthy career professionals who live along its borders: they commute into and out of Peckham, but spend very little of their time or money in the town centre
